New ActiveLoad 2 guided pick-up: increased capacity, greater stability, optimized material flow

Six rows of tines ensure maximum feed intake capacity with the ActiveLoad 2 – neatly, gently, and without losses. With working widths of 1940 mm, 2050 mm, and 2270 mm, the ActiveLoad 2 is optimally matched to the BERGMANN REPEX, CAREX, and SHUTTLE series of forage wagons.

Plastic scrapers: quiet, low-wear and easy to maintain
The newly applied plastic scrapers ensure improved material flow and minimal noise. They are particularly low-wear, flexible and allow quick replacement of the double spring tines. This makes maintenance and repair much easier.

Reinforced double spring tines for extreme loads
With a 20 percent larger diameter compared to the previous model, the double spring tines offer significantly higher stability and a longer service life – even under extreme operating conditions. The optimized ratio between tines and scrapers provides more free space and also improves smooth running and service life.

Triple-bearing tooth carrier shaft – maintenance-free and robust
Another special feature is the maintenance-free, triple-bearing tooth carrier shaft with high-quality ball bearings, which operates reliably even under high loads.

The tooth carriers can be completely removed for very easy maintenance. To do this, the plastic scrapers can be flexibly folded forward after loosening the upper screws.

Large rollers for maximum service life
For powerful feed intake, the six tooth carriers are reliably and evenly guided via a low-wear cam track.

The new, high-quality rollers with a 30 percent larger outer diameter, 33 percent larger inner diameter, and 31 percent wider design significantly reduce the bearing speed and greatly increase stability.

Quick maintenance – cleverly solved
A large maintenance opening directly at the cam track provides excellent access to the rollers, making them easier to replace. It is not necessary to dismantle the entire tooth carrier unit. In addition, the maintenance opening allows for excellent visual inspection of the cam track.

Optimal material flow
For better pre-compaction and optimized feed transfer to the rotor, the pick-up is equipped with a new suspension for the double swath rollers and connecting guide comb.
The suspension and bearing points are designed for continuous,
trouble-free material flow of the crop.
The even transfer of crop to the rotor ensures perfect utilization of the BERGMANN forage wagons.

Perfect adaptation to the ground
The ActiveLoad 2 pick-up is suspended as standard and equipped with trailing feeler wheels for perfect adaptation to the ground. This ensures neat feed intake, even on uneven terrain.

A mechanical or hydraulic pick-up relief is available as an option for even pick-up pressure. The mechanical pick-up relief in particular stands out thanks to its high response speed to any ground contour. This allows higher driving speeds without the pick-up coming off the ground. This ensures perfect pick-up even when driving fast on uneven ground – the basis for clean, high-quality forage.

The right speed
Thanks to the hydraulic drive, the pick-up speed can be set independently of the tractor's engine speed (PTO speed). The driver can determine the speed at which the pick-up should run, depending on the operating conditions.
The standard, speed-dependent pick-up speed control ensures continuous feed intake and delivery to the rotor and reduces the strain on the driver, allowing long working days to be completed without fatigue. Depending on the operating conditions, the driver can switch the speed control on or off.
In addition, the hydraulic drive allows for a significantly longer pendulum travel compared to a mechanically driven pick-up. This means that the drive adapts better to the ground contours and thus ensures neat feed intake.

Suitable for every business
BERGMANN is the only manufacturer to offer a steered and an unsteered pick-up for forage wagons. This allows the user to decide which pick-up best suits their conditions of use.

A pilot series of the ActiveLoad 2 pick-up will be launched in the 2026 season.

The BERGMANN brand will be present at AGRIBEX 2025 at the PACKO AGRI stand in hall 4, stand 4206.
